When you want to be thankful for the abundance of drinkable water around you, you’ll need to turn to the trash can.
But while you can still buy water from the tap, you won’t be able to drink more than that.
According to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), a new study finds that when you’re drinking water from a trash can, you’re actually adding a few micrograms of caffeine to your drink.
“The effect on caffeine concentration may be greater for the beverage if it’s filtered water, such as bottled water, and if the water is filtered through the filter or a dishwasher,” NIEHS researcher Amy J. Ziegler, Ph.
D., said in a statement.
So, if you’re looking to add some extra calories to your day, consider adding the soda you need to drink.
