A man accused of raping his wife has been remanded in custody and will be deported from India after the court found him guilty on Friday.
The court heard the case against Ramachandra Bose was dismissed on Tuesday after he refused to plead guilty.
Bose was arrested in February after police received a complaint from his wife that he was abusing his daughter.
“The case was dismissed today and the accused will be brought back to India immediately,” a police officer said.
The court has remanded Bose in judicial custody and directed his family to appear before it in a week.
