A drunk driver who crashed into a fire truck and a police truck during a crash in the Bronx early Sunday died in the crash, officials said.
Police said the accident happened around 1:20 a.m. near the intersection of W. 40th St. and W. 57th St., where a silver Toyota Camry was headed southbound on the northbound side of the road when it collided with a police car.
The driver of the Camry, 33-year-old Christopher Hovis, of Harlem, died at the scene, according to the NYPD.
Hovis is the second driver in New York City to die in a fatal crash involving a firetruck and police vehicles this year.
A 32-year.old woman died when she was struck by a truck on Saturday while driving on the Bronx side of Canal Street.
